Musical Links
In 2005, Dave met Amber Nix at Glenview Baptist Chuch in Fort Worth, Texas. Upon learning that Amber was a musician, Dave was able to fanagle a copy of her coffee house recording, which he listened to again and again. Not content with having to listen to her voice on a CD, Dave found and created many opportunities to meet with Amber. In 2006, Dave and Amber were married. Dave is now able to hear original Amber Nix songs everyday.
Dave grew up in the same church as Bruce. Early on, it was evident that Bruce was a very talented musician, able to play the trumpet, the drums, and the keyboard, among other instruments. It was Bruce who gave Dave his first drum lesson at church. Dave recently had an opportunity to see the Bruce James Quartet in concert, and Dave would recommend that everyone check out this talented musician's work.
Outstanding Guitar by Cory Linn
Cory Linn's online guitar course, teaching all of the guitar basics that I have yet to learn. Cory and I grew up in the same church, and now Cory is teaching guitar and rocking out in Austin.
A few of my favorite bands:
An awesome worship leader. I highly recommend Mark's new album, "Every Reason Why." When you hear this one, you will know why!
Another great worship leader, headquartered in Austin.
Electronic music never sounded so good! He looks crazy, but he surely knows how to worship with great funkification.
Awesome songs from the "Land Down Under."
The best guitarist in the world! I can't keep up with all of the albums this man has put out. I recommend his acoustic albums.
Churches
Milestone Church is Dave's home church, deep in the heart of Keller, Texas. Milestone is an amazing church, with great members, leadership and worship. Come check it out.
Iglesia Bautista Getsemani was Dave's first church in Fort Worth.
Dave's church in Livingston, Texas. Joel Salazar is the coolest home church worship leader.
